IHH Healthcare plans to double its bed capacity
Singapore-Malaysia-based hospital group IHH Healthcare which operates a chain of hospitals under Fortis and Gleneagles , is planning to double its bed capacity here to 10,000 beds in the next 4-5 years through brownfield expansion and acquisitions.
The healthcare firm has around 5,000 bed capacity in India and plans to add 2,000 beds through brownfield expansion, and another 3,000 beds through possible acquisition opportunities. As per the plan the firm aims to be among the top three healthcare providers in India, expanding into tier-2 cities while maintaining dual brands Fortis and Gleneagles.
