Indian railways to invest Rs 1 lakh crore in Odisha
Union rail minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has informed that Indian Railways has planned projects worth Rs 1 lakh crore that will be implemented in Odisha in the next 5 years. The minister said many mega railway projects have been sanctioned, but those were delayed due to delays in land acquisition.
Allocation to Odisha in the railway budget has been enhanced from Rs 800 crore during the UPA government tenure to over Rs 10,000 crore during the Modi government, added Vaishnaw.
