Keshod Airport project: 26 firms place bid for tender floated by AAI
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has informed that 26 firms have submitted bids for civil construction work at the existing Keshod Airport near Junagadh, Gujarat. Located at north of Somnath the airport is currently suitable for handling small ATR-72 / ATR-42 turboprop aircraft. The redevelopment project is estimated to cost Rs. 363 crore and includes the construction of a 6500 sqm new terminal building, expansion of its existing runway to 2500m x 45m, construction of a new air traffic control (ATC) tower and an apron to handle up to 3 A320/B737 narrow-body aircraft.
