Pune and Nagpur metro: Maharashtra government approves Rs 100 crores
The state government of Maharashtra has approved Rs 100 Crores for the Pune and Nagpur Metro Rail projects. Rs 40 crore would go to the fully underground Swargate-Katraj corridor (Corridor 2A).
The 6.5-km stretch carries a total project cost of Rs 2,954.75 crore, with Maharashtra obligated to contribute Rs 397.83 crores. Rs 60 crore is allocated for Nagpur Metro Rail Stage-2. This infusion will sustain construction momentum and ensure the timely advancement of both metro projects.
