Sinnar Thermal: NTPC signs agreement to acqurire the firm
Government-owned thermal power major NTPC has signed a shareholder agreement with Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO). The agreement is done to acquire Sinnar Thermal Power Ltd, the firm that is undergoing a corporate insolvency resolution process.
National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved the resolution in November 2025.
