Sunni Hydro project: Himachal and Central government to jointly develop the project
The central and state government of Himachal Pradesh have collaborated to jointly develop the Sunni Hydroelectric Project (HEP) on the Satluj River. It would be a run-of-the-river-type dam project. The project is owned by Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) and comprises the 210MW Luhri Stage-1, the 172MW Luhri Stage-II, and the 382MW Sunni HEP.
The project would take an investment of estimated Rs 26.14 Billion.
