One city each in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan will be selected as per NCRPB's plan and will receive a one-time support package of Rs 1,000 crore. The selected cities will have to develop new growth centres and reduce pressure on New Delhi. As per updates, Meerut, Jewar, Dadri and Khurja are understood to be under consideration for inclusion.
