Alaknanda hydro power plant: 9 firms place firm bids for the project
9 firms have placed bids for acquiring the Alaknanda hydro power in Uttarakhand. The firms that placed a bid for the project are: Adani Power Ltd, Jindal Power Ltd, Vedanta Group, Orissa Metaliks Pvt Ltd, JSW Energy, Torrent Power, Sarda Energy and Minerals, and Purvah Green Power.
In the bids, formal offers ranging from Rs 3,000 crore to Rs 4,000 crore have been made. The plan is operational and has an active power purchase agreement (PPA) till 2045.
