Andhra Pradesh completes tendering for sports infrastructure project worth Rs 54 crores
The state government of Andhra Pradesh has completed the tendering process for the development of various world-class sports infrastructure projects in the state. These projects, worth Rs 54 crore,s include:
- Development of Kodiramamurthy Stadium at Srikakulam
- Construction of a modern stadium at Kommadi in Visakhapatnam, which is estimated to cost Rs 25 crores
- Sports School at Vizianagaram
- Residential sports school for talented tribal children in the Araku-Paderu region
Further, a sports academy is planned at Kakinada, and renovation works are planned at the Eluru stadium. 28.30 acres of land is allocated at Tirupati to develop advanced sports facilities and academies. Stadiums in Vijayawada and Guntur are also being upgraded.
