BSNL eyes expansion plans to add 60,000 mobile towers
Government-owned telecom firm Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is planning to expand its network. The firm is looking to add 50,000-60,000 mobile towers to build a robust network. As per The Economic Times, the firm's operating profit is expected to grow in double digits in the current fiscal.
This comes as the firm made its biggest capital expenditure of Rs 20,000 crore in a single year in building a 4G network. Now this 4G network will be upgraded to 5G without the need for additional mobile sites.
