Inland Waterways: Projects worth Rs 1,700 crore to be developed in northeast
Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has invested Rs 1,700 crore for the development of Inland waterways in the northeast region of the country. Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways informed about this during the inauguration of the roadshow at Global Maritime India Summit, 2023 (GMIS).
Sarbananda Sonowal highlighted how the role of inland waterways has evolved as an alternative mode of transportation.
