NCC bags order worth over Rs 8, 398 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity
NCC has bagged orders worth Rs 8,398 crore. The electrical division has bagged orders from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution (MSEDCL) for an advanced metering infrastructure (AMl) project.
One order is estimated to cost Rs 2,822 crore and the second contract is worth Rs 2,933 crore. Both projects are expected to be executed through special purpose vehicles (SPVs). These contracts will be executed on a design, build, finance, own, operate, and transfer (DBFOOT) basis under a revamped distribution sector scheme (RDSS). It will run for 9 years and 3 months, including operation and maintenance (O&M) for 7 years.
The third contract from North Bihar Power Distribution (NBPDCL) for an AMl project is worth Rs 2,324 crore. A fourth-order worth Rs 319 crore has been received from Bangalore Electricity Supply (BESCOM) for the upgrade of the distribution automation system (DAS).
