NTPC plans to set up new green hydrogen plant in Greater Noida
Government-owned thermal power maker NTPC plans to set up a green hydrogen plant in Greater Noida. The project would have a production capacity of 1 tonne/day and would be set up by the Research & Development (R&D) wing of NTPC, the NTPC Energy Technology Research Alliance (NETRA).
As per the firm, the plant would use advanced plasma gasification technology to convert waste into tar-free syngas, which will be further processed to produce hydrogen using PSA/membrane technology.
