Rs 25,000 crore to be infused by Vedanta for expansion
The diversified mining company, Vedanta Resources has plans to invest Rs 80,000 crore in Odisha. It has plans to pump in another Rs 25,000 crore to expand its aluminum, ferrochrome, and mining businesses in the state. With this investment, the firm is contributing nearly 4 percent to Odisha’s GDP through its operations (direct and indirect).
