IAF drone manufacturing program: Tata, HAL, L&T in race for Rs 30, 000 crore project
The Indian Air Force's (IAF) drone procurement programme is seeing big names in the race. 10 public and private sector companies, including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Tata Advanced Systems, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Adani Defence & Aerospace, Solar Defence and Aerospace, and Raphe mPhibr have submitted bids.
Under the project, which is valued at Rs 30,000 crores, drones will be developed and manufactured domestically, supporting India’s efforts to strengthen self-reliance in critical defence technologies.
