Indian Railways approves Rs 493 crore for work in Gujarat
The Indian Railways (IR) has approved Rs 493 crore for the Adipur-Bhuj section of Western Railway in Gujarat. The work involves the doubling of a 49 km section as part of its ongoing programme for capacity augmentation through doubling, tripling, and other network enhancement works.
The section is currently a single-line route on the Gandhidham-Naliya corridor, and the project aims to strengthen rail connectivity in the Kutch region and support expected growth in passenger and freight traffic.
