Vistara Gets Rs 465 Crore Investment Form Singapore Airlines, Tata Sons
Indian full-service airline Vistara has got an investment of Rs 465 crore from owners Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines. The capital infusion is the fourth capital fuel in Vistara since April. This comes to shore up its finances as the airline, like its peers, struggles against falling demand amidst the pandemic. Â
Tata Sons pushed in Rs 237.15 crore, while Singapore Airlines put in Rs 227.85 crore issuing fresh shares into the airline. Earlier the promoters put in Rs 200 crore in April 2020, Rs 750 crore in July, and then Rs 585 crore in November. The Indian aviation industry is estimated to have lost USD 6 billion in the just-ended financial year and may lose a similar amount in the current fiscal.
