PSPCL to float tender for e-bus project in Ludhiana
Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL), the Public Works Department (PWD), and the Municipal Corporation of Ludhiana have plans to float a tender worth Rs 23 crore related to the e-bus project. The tenders are for developing infrastructure at the Ghora Road bus depot and Hambaran Road depot to accommodate and charge a fleet of 100 electric buses.
Work is to be executed under PPP mode and involves infrastructure development including setting up charging stations, parking bays, and other necessary amenities for the operation of electric buses. As a part of Prime Minister’s e-Bus Sewa Yojana deployment of electric buses (e-Buses) in Ludhiana will operate on a public-private partnership (PPP) model, bus operation support will be provided for 10 years, with central assistance offered on a per-kilometer basis.
