Union cabinet gives nod to railways projects worth Rs 2,781 crores
The Union Cabinet has given its nod to rail projects worth Rs 2,781 crore. These two projects are: doubling of the Dwarka-Kanalus rail line in Gujarat and building the third and fourth lines between Badlapur and Karjat in the Mumbai metropolitan region.
As per the government, these projects aim to enhance freight and passenger connectivity, streamline operations, and support regional development in line with the PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
