50,000 sq ft office space leased by Sumitomo Mitsui in Mumbai
Japanese banking firm Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) has leased 50,000 sq ft of office space in Mumbai. The lease covers the higher floors of the commercial tower, Sumitomo C65, for a duration of 5 years.
The space is leased from Goisu Realty Private Limited, with an annual rent outlay of around Rs 41.5 crore and a 15% rent increase every three years. The total rent outlay for the duration of the lease would be Rs 189 crore.
