TGREDCO and TGGENCO float tenders for procurement of 5,800 MW of renewable energy
Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation Limited (TGREDCO) and Telangana Power Generation Corporation Limited (TGGENCO) have floated tenders for the procurement of 5,800 MW of renewable energy.
The tender calls for the procurement of 3,000 MW of solar power integrated with a 6,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), 800 MW of wind power, 2,000 MW of Renewable Energy Round-the-Clock (RE-RTC) power, and a 2,000 MWh Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) battery energy storage system.
These tenders are floated with the aim of achieving long-term energy security and ensuring a reliable, affordable, and sustainable power supply as demand peaks. The last date for bid submission is November 4th, 2026.
