L&T bags major order for Dhaka Metro
Multinational business firm Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged a major order for Dhaka Metro. The order is bagged by the firm's transportation business vertical and involves design-and-build orders for two key system packages of the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line 1), Bangladesh.
The scope of work covers track works and electrical systems, apart from signalling, telecommunications, and platform screen doors (PSDs). According to L&T's classification of major orders, the contract is valued above Rs 5,000 crore.
