DP World to develop mega container terminal at Kandla
Emirati multinational logistics company DP World has signed an agreement with the Deendayal Port Authority to develop, operate, and maintain a new 2.19 million twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) per annum mega-container terminal at Kandla in Gujarat.
The proposed terminal, which will have an annual capacity of 2.19 million TEUs, will be developed on a Build-Operate-Transfer basis for 30 years with an option to extend for a further 20 years.
