Government to invesr Rs 4,500 crores in Semiconductor Laboratory
The Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, has informed that the government would invest Rs 4,500 crore to upgrade the Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL) in Mohali.
This investment is aimed at equipping SLC with state-of-the-art technologies, expanding capabilities, and pushing wafer production to nearly 100 times its current level.
