Kochi Metro: Phase 2's civil construction contract attracts 3 bids
The Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) has informed that it has received 3 bids for the civil construction contract of Kochi Metro’s Phase 2 project. The phase 2 (elevated) will feature an 11.2 km new elevated line, named Pink Line, with 11 stations connecting JLN Stadium – Kakkanad – Infopark.
Bidders for the project are:
- Afcons Infrastructure Ltd.
- KEC International Ltd.
- Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL)
The scope of the work involves the Design and Construction of an Elevated Viaduct and 10 Elevated Stations Excluding Architectural Finishes, Building Services, Link Bridges and Entry-Exit Structures of Phase II.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 378.57 crore with a tight 600-day deadline.
