Larsen & Toubro bags order worth Rs 55,000 crore
Multinational conglomerate Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged orders worth up to Rs 55,000 crore in July (so far). According to the company's exchange filings, the cumulative value of these orders ranges between Rs 37,500 crore and Rs 55,000 crore, based on L&T's order value classification.
L&T's Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore division secured a major order from Kuwait Oil Company, valued between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 10,000 crore. In a consortium with Hitachi Energy, the company also won a 2 GW offshore wind programme worth Rs 15,000 crore.
The company's Metals and Minerals business secured a comprehensive 18 MTPA iron ore handling plant package in Chhattisgarh, valued between Rs 10,000 crore and Rs 15,000 crore. Meanwhile, L&T Heavy Engineering bagged orders worth Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 5,000 crore.
Additionally, the Commercial Buildings & Factories business secured an order valued between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 10,000 crore for the construction of 26 high-rise residential towers in Mumbai, each standing 120 metres tall.
