Tata Group to pump in Rs 1,500 crore in its iPhone making arm
Tata Group has pumped in Rs 1,500 crore in its electronics manufacturing arm, Tata Electronics. Tata Electronics manufactures iPhones on contract for Apple, and this funding would help expand iPhone manufacturing and significant semiconductor projects.
In a move of expansion, the firm is set to build fabrication and assembly units in Gujarat and Assam.
