Torrent Power gets LoA from MSEDCL for energy supply
Leading power sector firm Torrent Power Limited (TPL) has received a letter of award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The LoA is for a long-term supply of 2,000 Megawatt (MW) Energy Storage Capacity from InSTS connected pumped hydro storage plant.
This LoA includes an additional 500 MW on top of a previous award. Torrent is investing in various renewable energy projects, including pumped storage, green hydrogen, and green ammonia production.
