83,904 Acres land transfer cleared by Maharashtra government for infra development
The Maharashtra state government has given its nod to the transfer of 83,904 acres of government land to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). The aim is to boost the physical infrastructure in the region.
As per updates, the transferred land spans across 1,324 villages in key localities of the MMR (Mumbai Metropolitan Region), including Thane, Ambernath, Bhiwandi, Kalyan, Alibaug, Panvel, Palghar, and Vasai. This land will be utilised to build core infrastructure and generate revenue streams through planned development.
