ArcelorMittal launches green energy projects worth USD 900 millions
Steel and mining major ArcelorMittal has launched 3 renewable energy projects in India with a total of 1 GW of nominal solar and wind capacity. The projects will take investments of $900 million and are located in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
As per the firm, 36 MW solar production will be set up in Amaravati, Maharashtra, and a 400 MW solar and 500 MWh battery energy storage project is planned in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Further, a 250 MW wind, 300 MW solar, and 300 MWh of integrated battery storage project would be set up in Bachau, Gujarat.
