Chief Minister of Mizoram inaugurates solar plant in Thenzawl
The Chief Minister of Mizoram, Lalduhoma, inaugurated the 10-MW solar power plant at Thenzawl in Serchhip District. Estimated cost of the project is Rs 74.82 crore, with funding support from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).
On the occasion, the CM informed that the construction of a 5-MW Solar Park at Sumsuih in Aizawl district has already begun and is expected to be completed shortly. Further, the proposals are underway for additional solar parks at Keifang (10 MW), Tumtuitlang in Serchhip (10 MW), Bawkmual–Hmunhmeltha (10 MW), Denlung Ram in Hnahthial district (10 MW), Tlabung Tlang in Lallen (6 MW), and Dawhzau Zau in Lamzawl (20 MW).
