Dugarajapatnam Shipbuilding Cluster: Andhra Pradesh government invites South Korean mnaufacturers
The government of Andhra Pradesh has invited Korean maritime manufacturers to invest in the state. Andhra Pradesh's Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, has invited the South Korean investors to invest in Dugarajapatnam Shipbuilding Cluster. Lokes made this outreach during the maritime investment roundtable organised by the Korea Marine Equipment Association (KOMEA) in Busan
The Rs 30,000 crore proposed cluster will be spread over 2,000 acres and aims to house India's first National Mega Shipbuilding Cluster to build commercial vessels, heavy engineering facilities, and marine infrastructure.
