Foxconn to invest USD 1.7 billion in Karnataka
Taiwanese Electronics firm Foxconn plans to invest an additional 139.11 billion rupees (USD 1.67 billion) in the state of Karnataka. This comes as the firm has been diversifying production away from China following COVID-19 disruptions and geopolitical tensions.
In August this year, Foxconn announced an investment of USD 600 million in two projects to make casing components for iPhones and chip-making equipment in the state.
