Ghaziabad to get multi-purpose complex, investment worth Rs 108 crore
The Uttar Pradesh state expenditure finance committee has given its nod for the multi-purpose sports complex in Nandgram, near Rajnagar Extension. Proposed project would occupy GMC (Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation) land spanning 48,000 sqm, and will be designed for 22 indoor and outdoor sports. The project is estimated to cost Rs 108 crore.
It is expected to have have six tennis courts, nine badminton courts, two squash courts, basketball courts, and semi-Olympic size swimming pools, box cricket, and a practice pitch for cricket, among other sports.
