Rs 1.6 lakh crore projects announced by Nitin Gadkari
Union Minister for Road, Transport, and Highways, Nitin Gadkari announced sanctioning of upcoming projects worth Rs. 1.6 lakh crores in the North East. The projects include roads, ropeways, RoBs, (Rail over bridges), and major bridges across River Brahmaputra and other water bodies.
Projects worth Rs 50,000 crore for Assam, Rs 9,000 crore for Meghalaya, Rs 5,000 crore for Nagaland, and Rs 4,000 crore for Sikkim were approved. The minister also said that Multi Modal Logistics Parks have been proposed at Udaipur in Tripura and Silchar in Assam.
