Tata Group signs agreement with Gujarat Government for USD 1.6 billion
Tata Group has signed an agreement with the state government of Gujarat of approximately 130 billion rupees (USD1.58 billion). The agreement is for a lithium-ion cell factory to be set in the state.
As per the firm, the plant aims to bolster the country’s electric vehicle (EV) supply chain and reduce its dependence on battery imports.
