BirlaNu to develop new plant in Nellore
Sustainable home building solutions provider BirlaNu has plans to set up a greenfield fibre cement board plant in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. As per the firm, the facility will utilise fly ash from coal-based thermal power plants as a key input, reducing industrial waste and boosting circular-economy practices.
The firm plans to expand the facility, and in the second phase, there would be additional units for the production of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipes, fittings, and construction chemicals, strengthening integrated manufacturing capabilities.
