Pune airport expansion project: 300 acres land to be acquired for the work
The state government of Maharashtra has submitted a detailed proposal to the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation for the acquisition of over 300 acres for Pune airport expansion. As per the plan, the expansion includes extending the runway and establishing a new aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility.
The expansion would increase parking bays and create a dedicated terminal for private aircraft and helicopters.
