Chinese firm Sigenergy to invest USD 200 million in India
Shanghai-based energy solutions firm, Sigenergy, has plans to invest around $200 million in India. The plan is to develop a large-scale manufacturing facility in India, as it seeks to tap into the country's rapidly expanding renewable energy and battery storage market.
As per the update from The Times of India, the firm is looking for 30–50 acres to build a 10–20 GW capacity unit to manufacture batteries and inverters. The firm is scouting for land in Maharashtra, where its India arm is headquartered, as well as Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu.
