DDA plans to develop houseboat style convention centre in Delhi
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has plans to develop a houseboat-style convention centre. As per DDA, the center would be developed at Baansera Park in Sarai Kale Khan and would be like the iconic Dal Lake houseboats, standing 8.8 metres tall and spread across multiple levels from a ground deck to an uppermost tier.
This project is a part of a broader vision of rejuvenating the Yamuna floodplain as a vibrant public space. The structure would be fixed, unlike the real houseboat a meeting room for 15 individuals, a reception area with a waiting lounge, dining facilities with a pantry, gallery space, and interiors to match with Kashmiri wood-carved jail, railing, among other things.
