Microsoft to infuse Rs 16,000 crore to set up data centres in Hyderabad
Tech giant Microsoft would invest Rs 16,000 crore for setting up 3 more data centers, taking the total proposed centers to 6. The firm had already announced its first captive data center investment of 3 campuses early in 2022 with an investment of Rs 16,000 crore.
An official release from Telangana's IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao said the upcoming projects were discussed at the Microsoft Cafe in Davos, Switzerland. Earlier investment commitments entailed three data centers in Hyderabad, they now target to reach six total data centers in the state with each center serving 100 MW of IT load on average.
