Bhogapuram Airport project: Validation flight test conducted in presence of civil aviation minister
GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL) has conducted the validation flight test at Bhogapuram Airport. The test was conducted in the presence of Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu with an Air India aircraft.
The success of the test validated the airport's airside infrastructure, navigational aids, runway systems, and overall operational readiness, in line with regulatory requirements laid down by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This test is crucial to acquiring an aerodrome licence and is a critical prerequisite before the commencement of commercial flight operations.
