Uno Minda plans expansion with an investment of Rs 1,415 crore
Gurugram-based auto component maker Uno Minda is looking for a strategic expansion drive as it plans to invest Rs 1,415 crore. The firm will set up a new aluminium casting unit in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, as well as expand and relocate its two-wheeler alloy wheel manufacturing operations in Kharkhoda, Haryana.
According to the firm, the Hosur facility at the current location has reached its practical expansion limits, and the new greenfield facility on another existing land parcel at Thally Road, Hosur will take an investment of Rs 510 crore. The two-wheeler alloy wheel capacity plant at Kharkhoda will be developed with an investment of Rs 155-crore.
An additional capex of Rs 80-cr for the expansion of a moulding facility in Bangalore under its subsidiary Uno Minda Kyoraku Ltd.
