HBL gets LoA for order worth Rs 1.02 billion
Engineering firm HBL has received the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from IRCON for a project worth Rs 1.02 billion. The order is related to the implementation of the Kavach Automatic Train Protection (ATP) System in the Bangalore and Mysore divisions of the South Western Railway (SWR).
The project involves 778 kilometres, covering 85 stations and integrating the system into two locomotives. The period of completion of the work is 18 months. This comes as the firm secured another Kavach contract worth Rs 1.46 billion from Western Railways, covering a 428 km route and 48 stations.
