REC signs pact to finance power and renewable energy project in Tripura
Government-owned Maharatna firm REC Limited has signed pacts with the Tripura government worth Rs 15,000 crore. Under this pact, REC will finance power and renewable energy projects in the North-Eastern state.
One of the MoUs is signed with Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) to provide financial assistance for renewable energy projects worth up to Rs 5,000 crore. Another MoU is signed with the Department of Power, Government of Tripura, through the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd (TSECL), to support power sector projects worth Rs 10,000 crore.
