Aditya Birla to invest Rs 12,000 crore for expansion of refinery project in Rayagada
Multinational business firm, Aditya Birla Group, will invest an additional Rs 12,000 crore for the expansion of its greenfield alumina refinery project at Kansariguda in Odisha's Rayagada. The plan is to increase the capacity from 1 MTPA to 3 MTPA.
The firm is currently developing a 1 MTPA greenfield alumina refinery at Kansariguda through Hindalco Industries Ltd with an investment of Rs 8,000 crore. This announcement came from Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla after he met with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
