Mitsubishi Chemical planning to set semiconductor unit in West Bengal
Japanese firm Mitsubishi Chemical is in talks with the government of West Bengal to invest in the semiconductor sector in the eastern state. The firm's representatives met West Bengal's Industries Minister Tapas Roy and discussed the plan.
The state government, in its latest budget, also highlighted the intention to establish a semiconductor manufacturing facility in Durgapur. For Mitsubishi's project, Durgapur and Panagarh are the preferred locations.
