JSW Steel begins work on its Rs 16,350 crore facility in Rayalaseema
JSW Group's flagship firm, JSW Steel, has commenced the development work of an integrated steel project in Andhra Pradesh's Rayalaseema. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 16,350 crore with Phase1 involving an investment of Rs 4,500 crore to establish a 1 million tonne per annum (MTPA) steel plant.
Phase 2 will expand capacity to 2 MTPA with an investment of Rs 11,850 crore. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu alongwith JSW Group Chairman and Managing Director Sajjan Jindal was present at the ocassion.
