Rs 4,000 crore investment in Data center planned by joint venture of Web Werks and Iron Mountain
The joint venture (JV) of Tier III Data Center providers Web Werks and storing, protecting, and managing, information and assets related services provider Iron Mountain has plans to invest another Rs 4,000 crore to create data center capacity in the state of Maharashtra. Deputy Chief Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis informed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) envisaging another Rs 20,000 crore investments in the sector is signed.
At present, the state of Maharashtra is home to 65 percent of the overall installed data center capacity in the country.
