National Green Hydrogen Mission: Government awards production contracts to 4 refineries
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has awarded contracts to four refineries for the production of 30 Kilo Tonnes Per Annum (KTPA) of green hydrogen under the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).
Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik shared the information in the Rajya Sabha. According to the minister, the contracts have been awarded as follows:

Indian Oil Corporation Limited’s refinery at Panipat has been awarded a production capacity of 10 KTPA.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s refinery at Bina has been awarded a production capacity of 5 KTPA.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited’s refinery at Vizag has been awarded a production capacity of 5 KTPA.

Numaligarh Refineries Limited’s refinery has been awarded a production capacity of 10 KTPA.
These projects will be implemented through Build-Own-Operate (BOO) arrangements by private developers, who will make project-specific investments.
